  • Unintentional Drowning deaths of children ages 0 to 18 in California were 93 in 2009 as compared to 82 in 2008 (and 96 in 2007)
  • Unintentional Drownings of the youngest age 0 – was 2 in 2009, down from 3 in 2008, and way down from 10 in 2007
  • Ages 1-4- up in 2009 to 56 children lost (48 in 2008, 53 in 2007), Ages 5-9 up to 12 deaths in 2009 (as compared to 10 in 2008 and 8 in 2007)
